"Dance"

The stage is set for a torrent evening
At the entrance one enters the arena
They glance upon heat that is seen within
The approach is slow as to not disturb even a breath
They encircle each other stalking a new view
Everything is spinning except each others view
Laces, ties, buttons, and clasps come apart
And cast away that which hides the color and fire beneath.

The warm up begins
An embrace. One that twists and undulates with every step
Hands that were once cold, are now pumping with blood
Skin once dry, sweating slightly so that the hands can flow
Covering almost every inch of every area,
lest the few to be enjoyed soon
At one random moment a kiss is stumbled upon
The chin marks the beginning
For now all areas are traversed once more
But slower and more lingering
Encircling twice, with an occasional bite.
The warming ends when lips finally meet lips

The dance initiates with high energy
Releasing tension, frustration, and pure lust
The main dance follows
Every step placed at more than just the right power
But at the right angle and twist, position and stretch
Bodies contort in at dizzying rates
No stance or gate seeming to fulfill ones thoughts
But all leaving the proper effect
The steps lead to gyrations enumerable times
Some every five minutes
Some that seem to never come
There are times when the steps stop and the bodies rest
But the hands never rest, covering all areas once more
A long night itmost certainly is
One or the other appear to sleep
But the dance continues
For sometimes no thought is required,
Just a need, a want, and urge to go on to exhaust ones will

I then awaken and realize that it was a dream
But I am wrong
I had merely taken to sleep while the dance continued
Joy is not something to be laughed at, but to be absorbed
Even if only staring at the contentment in the other
